I have to send out some love to Black Heart Magazine. This was my favorite erotica journal online, easily outpacing more famous warhorses such as Clean Sheets. It also generously provided an early venue for some of my literary smut. When editrix supreme Laura Roberts announced its retirement this spring I wept like a child. But now, like all irrepressible movements, it’s back as a more holistic literary magazine accepting all genres, which makes perfect sense: Erotica shouldn’t necessarily cringe in its own ghetto, but add a little sauce to the larger loving cup of literary activity.
Still, there are some deliciously grubby and smart pieces: I especially love Laura’s ode to drinking salty beverages in the morning. And my nasty tale “Analysis” lurks around as well, like the vampy aunt who likes to check out your latest boyfriend’s ass.
Laura—you rule, grrl!

[this is good] Thanks so much for the props, Sylvia. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the site's revamp, as I'd hate to cause more unnecessary tears! And if you've got new work you'd like to share, do feel free to send it our way. :)
